Look for moving stones, raised prongs, a weak clasp or frayed thread. If anything feels insecure, stop wearing the piece and ask a jeweler to inspect it. Hard gemstones can still sit in delicate settings.02 · Choose the gentlest method
Begin with a clean, soft cloth. Use lukewarm water and mild soap only when every stone, finish, setting and cord is suitable for water. Rinse carefully in a bowl and dry fully.Pearls: wipe gently after wear; avoid soaking, steam and ultrasonic cleaners.
Plated jewelry: use light pressure; abrasive polishing wears the finish.
Opal or treated stones: confirm the exact material and treatment before deeper cleaning.

Apply cosmetics before jewelry. Remove pieces for swimming, exercise, cleaning and sleep. Store them separately so harder stones and metal edges cannot rub against delicate surfaces. Rings: choose a comfortable ring for the same finger. Measure its inside diameter through the center in millimeters, excluding the band. Compare with the size chart. Paper measurements are approximate; a physical ring sizer is more reliable, especially for wider bands or in-between sizes.Bracelets: measure your wrist snugly without compressing it. Check whether the listing describes wrist range or total bracelet length. Larger beads reduce the space inside, so those measurements are not interchangeable.Necklaces: try a string at the listed length. Account for the pendant’s drop and any extender. “40 + 5 cm” means an adjustable length of 40–45 cm.05 · Check before ordering
